From 12 to 20 July the Offshore Sailing World Championships take place at the coastline of The Hague. The World Championships are not only about sailing, visitors, locals and fans will have a great day in the harbor and on the kids- and sport beach!
In the harbor
Walk around at the HISWA Race Village, in the middle of all action. The Race Village is open every race day from 15:00 hour. Just when the teams are expected to return from the water. The stands, workshops, activities and daily happy hour with live music can't be missed! Entrance is free.
Sport and kids beach
The area next to the harbor, will be one big sports and activity centre. Everyone is welcome at the sport beach where we start with yoga and an introduction to Crossfit. For the children there is a change to learn to sail like the sailors of the Worlds or get into a kayak!
The Offshore Sailing Worlds 2018 begins and ends with spectacular opening- en closing ceremonies, there will be a replica of the historic sailing wagon of Simon Stevin and a great cooperation with all local horeca and retail.
Will you be there? Check out the daily program below!
On the water
You can follow the competition everyday from 14 to 20 July from the beach or the piers. You can also follow them online via our Twitter updates, and the offshore via live tracking.
But, while the sailors are competing each other at the water, you can join them on the water in a RIB! RIB Actie Scheveningen gives you the opportunity to get close to the action. Send an email to [email protected] with the code "World2018" for more information and reservation.
